Here is another Fashion Illustrator who goes by the name of Jerron Couture. She is someone who I came across via Tumblr awhile ago, and I must say that she is pretty amazing at what she does! Anyhoo, here are a collection of all her Aaliyah drawings which she has skillfully drawn. My favorite ones have to be her most recent ones she did titled 'The Evolution Of Aaliyah's Video Looks' probably the best drawings I have seen in awhile so props to her on this! You can catch her via Tumblr, Twitter and Pinterest. Enjoy guys! :o)

Now, as much as I am known for sharing music by someone who was so talented and special in her own right, I am also one for sharing talent of those who rightly deserve the recognition. Some of you may know him as Hayden Williams, who is a well known UK Fashion Illustrator and Designer. I have admired his work for a long time now and what's even better is that he too is also a big fan of Aaliyah, which makes me like him even more! (No bias of course! :o) lol) All I can say is wow! His drawings are absolutely stunning of our beloved Babygirl! :o) You can check out more of his stuff via Blogger, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. Enjoy everyone! :o)
Could this be related to the Biopic movie we've all been waiting for? Hmmm...what do you think? All I know is that whatever it is, I surely cannot wait! :D :o)

Hey guys! I know it's been awhile since I have last posted, but rest assure I am alive and well. :o) Anyhoo this is just a quick shout out to all all the existing and new followers/readers of my blog, because without you guys the blog wouldn't be where it is today, so thanks to each and every one of you out there who continue to follow up on my posts. I say this time and time again, but it's definitely not easy when you are running everything by yourself, having said that, I don't mind since I am happy to share my pride and joy with all my other fellow fans out there. Considering my blog is still fairly new I am proud to say that I have reached 10'000+ views, I honestly did not expect that at all. What started off as something small, expressing my own personal thoughts and views, I can't fathom enough how much I am grateful to you all. Much love! :o)

For a bit of background knowledge, the photos themselves were shot during the final year of her life for Entertainment Weekly. You can also read down below a quote from Eric himself, describing the very notion of the photoshoot, and further telling us how Aaliyah was as a person in general. All I can say is that this has truly made my day, and I hope it does for all of you out there too! Enjoy everyone! Much love! :o)
"Recently. Johnson went through his negatives from the shoot, revealing a series of portraits the world has never seen. “She was on,” Johnson recalls. The consummate professional, Aaliyah arrived early at the shoot with her mother. Before Johnson’s camera, the triple-threat reveals endless facets of an artist coming into her own".

Hey guys! I Hope everyone is well! Since I'm going to be a little busy this week, I wanted to wish an early Happy Birthday to our beloved, beautiful Babygirl! As it's a special post, here are some pictures from her 16th Birthday party, and a video clip from where the images originally took place! You can also check out a rare interview from her 16th Birthday which I have posted down below :o)
On this very day she was born, and blessed us as an angel, yet taken away from the heavens as an angel too. It's crazy to think that if she were still alive today, she would still be very young at the age of 35. Sometimes we take life for granted, a lot of people in this world merely exist, yet don't really know how to 'live'. And it goes to show, that even though Aaliyah passed on at an early age, she accomplished a lot in the years that she was blessed to live. So on a personal note to everyone out there, enjoy, live, laugh and learn from your experiences, and most importantly, make the most of the years you have. I shall end on a quote from Aaliyah herself...
Aaliyah:"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same".

Hey everyone! I know it's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you ;) lol! But here's some news that some of you may or may not be aware of. Now as you all know, we have been waiting on this new Aaliyah album for quite some time now, with the likes of Noah 40 Shebib and of course Drake who were both working on this collectively. If you remember from one of my last posts, there was a small video teaser from Drake's Instagram page, where he gave us a taste of what was yet to come. Unfortunately though, it has come to our attention that Noah 40 Shebib has decided to pull out on this project. In an exclusive interview from VIBE, 40 reveals the reasons behind his decision to pull the plug on what may have been something special for all the Babygirl fans out there.

N.O.R.E. I want to fuck with Ghostface, Raekwon. I want to bring my sound and do what I know I can do with rap. Obviously working with Sade was a dream and I somehow achieved that.
Jay Z emailed me like, “Yo, I want you to do this Sade record.” That record was tough, [though]. We went back and forth and I can’t say it ended up the way I really wanted. The record had five versions—the first me and Jay were like, Whew! We did it! And then Sade was like, Yeah, you change this, you change that. Me and Jay were deflated. I kept trying and it became a dead record for five months. I went back to the table, sent it to Sade and as soon as she greenlit it I was happy that she was happy.
Well, I was that for Aaliyah. Aaliyah’s label Blackground—the Hankersons, her uncle and cousin—came to me and said if she was around she’d want you to do this [posthumous] project. I’ve been obsessed with Aaliyah forever, and I know Drake has his relationship with her. But that opportunity was mine. Drake said, “Can I do it with you?” and I was like, “Of course, we’ll do it together.” The world reacting to Drake’s involvement so negatively, I just wanted nothing to do with it. That was a very sad experience for me. I was naïve to the politics surrounding Aaliyah’s legacy and a bit ignorant to Timbaland’s relationship and everybody else involved and how they’d feel. Tim said to me “Don’t stop, make the album.” I think that was Tim taking the position of, “I’m not going to stop you. If you’re not going to do it, that’s your decision.” But ultimately, I wasn’t comfortable and didn’t like the stigma. We released [“Enough Said”], but I was seven songs deep. [Aaliyah’s] mother saying “I don’t want this out” was enough for me. I walked away very quickly.
We finally made an album we’ve been trying to make for a long time. Now that we made “that album,” which is an eclectic mix of music and genres, we can do other things, like maybe a rap or an R&B album. I don’t know what we’re going to make next, but both me and Drake are hungry to start working on it, like, yesterday. I’d love to try something different. I just don’t know if that’s going to happen—if we’ll let each other or if the world will let us.
l've said this time and time again, but if her family are not 100% supporting this, then everyone should respect their wishes, case closed. Obviously as a fan I would love to hear these unreleased vocals, but if Aaliyah's own mother is against it, enough said! That's all I'm saying. What do you guys think?
